Peyia

The village of Peyia sits on a hillside and is 3 kilometers north of Coral Bay & 14 kilometers northwest of Paphos overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and is of Byzantine origin. The village has beautiful fountains that are found in the stone paved village square. The ruins of two early Christian Basilicas are located close to the village. It is one of the most popular residential villages for ex-pats with an attractive cistern-fountain square, numerous cafes, tavernas, and all the amenities and facilities you need. Several family-run taverns and restaurants serve excellent fresh food at great value for money. The Jail Pub is interesting as it in the village center and used to be a regional prison in Ottoman times.
